Jan fennell “The Dog Listener” has spent a lifetime devoted to dogs, and over the years couldn’t help thinking that something was missing from the traditional methods of dog training, and dog behaviour, and when she saw Monty Roberts, the Horse Whisperer at work, she realised what it was. Monty used the natural language of the horse, to communicate with it and establish a relationship of trust between himself and the horse.

Jan knew that there must be an equivalent way of communicating with dogs in a language that they would understand, and to discover this language, turned to the dog in its most natural form, the wolf. By studying the wolf pack she has been able to recognise a common set of rules by which they live, and has developed a method of communicating with our best friends using these rules, to establish a relationship of trust in which our dogs can relax and accept us as their natural leader, after all, they live in a human world, one that they do not understand.
